A great Week 4! Two more wins added to the vault. More after the jump…

Team: The Cowboy Chicken 1

Starting Lineup:
QB: Michael Vick (at DEN): 16.50 points
RB: Frank Gore (at STL): 21.30 points
RB: Reggie Bush (vs CHI): 27.10 points
WR: Anquan Boldin (at STL): 20.00 points
WR: Torrey Smith (at BUF): 27.60 points
TE: Jordan Cameron (vs CIN): 30.10 points
FLEX: Matt Forte (at DET): 22.70 points
FLEX: Roddy White (vs NE): 5.80 points
K: Garrett Hartley (vs MIA): 8.00 points
DEF: Denver (vs PHI): 15.00 points

Team Score: 194.30 (League Rank: #1)
Record: 4-0, (194.30 vs. 134.50)
Overall: 879th

Waivers: Added Carolina Panthers (Dropped: Minnesota Vikings, $5)
Waiver Budget Remaining: $902

Waiver Strategy: We were out-bid on Brandon Bolden (Bid: $137, Won: $500), KC DEF (Bid: $53, Won: $113), Joseph Fauria (Bid: $21, Won: $83). Not that big of a deal. This team is pretty deep. I think we’ll regret not bidding up for the KC DEF, but we have three solid defenses (CAR, DEN, NE) already in the fold. We cut Brandon Bolden one week too early, but he didn’t do much in Week 4 (4 carries, -1 yards, few catches). Won’t be losing sleep over him.

Lineup Decisions: After missing Week 3, Reggie Bush was back for Week 4 and delivered. With Bush in the lineup, we dominate the RBs slots and first flex position. Roddy White’s snap count is increasing. He played 73 of 76 plays against New England. His routes are still a little flat, but the increased snap count is encouraging. We’ll start him again in Week 5 and hope the Week 6 bye helps. White’s counterparts Michael Floyd (13.80 points), Tyler Eifert (11.80), and Harry Douglas (9.80) outscored him.

Injuries: None.

Final Thoughts: This team hit its stride. We’re solid across all spots and ready to keep winning. Jordan Cameron has been an absolute monster and made our Sudfeld pick hurt a little less. We can’t expect him to keep this up, but we’re enjoying it while it lasts.

We’re first in total points scored and broke away from the pack with a big score. We’ll look to improve our record to 5-0.

Team: The Cowboy Chicken 2

Starting Lineup:
QB: Joey ‘Elite’ Flacco (at BUF): 20.35 points
RB: Adrian Peterson (vs PIT): 26.00 points
RB: Pierre Thomas (vs MIA): 8.80 points
WR: Brandon Marshall (at DET): 16.90 points
WR: Demaryius Thomas (vs PHI): 26.90 points
TE: Jordan Cameron (vs CIN): 30.10 points
FLEX: Marques Colston (vs MIA): 16.60 points
FLEX: Bernard Pierce (vs BUF): 1.90 points
K: Blair Walsh (vs PIT): 13.10 points
DEF: Baltimore (at BUF): 8.00 points

Team Score: 171.35 (League Rank: #1)
Record: 3-1, (171.35 vs. 154.75)
Overall: 112th

Waivers: Added Joe Fauria (Dropped: Minnesota, $11); Zach Sudfeld (Dropped: Quinton Patton, $1)
Waiver Budget Remaining: $838

Waiver Strategy: Nothing to say about this. We ranked Sudfeld ahead of our contingent bids, Jeremy Kerley and Robert Meachem. Sudfeld and Fauria will probably get cut next week since we have 5 total tight ends right now.

Lineup Decisions: No major decisions. We liked our RB2 and Flex match-ups (Pierre Thomas and Bernard Pierce), but both players failed to deliver.

Injuries: No major injuries. Cam Newton was on a bye, so we were forced into using Joe Flacco for the second time. Flacco threw for over 300 yards and 2 TDs, but also threw 5 INTs. We may let him go.

Final Thoughts: We were a pretty heavy underdog this week, but pulled out the win. Our opponent got 24 points from Jamaal Charles and the Colts defense, but didn’t get more than three points from MJD and Daryl Richardson. Our pass catchers and AP continue to carry us. What might have been if Shane Vereen wasn’t injured…

On to Week 5…
