It’s been a roller coaster ride for rookie quarterback, Geno Smith and his 1-1 New York Jets. After a lucky Week 1 win against Tampa Bay, Smith turned in a very sloppy Week 2 performance against New England. There aren’t any style points in the NFL and every win is precious. Smith will look to earn his second victory against fellow rookie quarterback, EJ Manuel. Manuel and the Bills had an exhilarating, last second win against the Carolina Panthers last week. Manuel found Stevie Johnson with just two second to go for the game winning score. The Bills will look to carry that momentum into Week 3.

Both the Jets and Bills are 2-0 against the spread (“ATS”). The Jets opened as a 3.5 point favorite. A list of the top sports betting sites currently have the Jets as a 1-point favorite. So far, 75% of the money has come in on the Bills, so expect the sharps to step in if this gets bought down to a Pick’Em. The Jets defense is pretty good and if Marty Mornhinweg can dial back the vertical passing game, the Jets will have a chance to win a tight game. The Jets defeated Buffalo 48-21 last year in Week 1.

Pick: I like the Jets in this game. The public does not respect Smith, Rex Ryan, or the Jet offense. The offensive line, namely Vlad Ducasse and Nick Mangold, have played really well and shouldn’t have a problem with Kevin Williams. The Jets front seven is playing really well and outside of Stevie Johnson, the Bills don’t have a receiver that will cause too many issues. CJ Spiller is home run threat, but the Jets have done a great job limiting Doug Martin and Stevan Ridley through the first two weeks.

Score: Jets 21 Bills 17
