The New York Knicks are already the oldest team in the NBA. They don’t have much that they can legitimately trade at the deadline, but if they are insistent in going for it this year, there are pieces out there that could be had for a package involving Iman Shumpert.

Shumpert is a defensive star and is a man that could really evolve into a fantastic five-tool player if he is put in the right spot. A team like the Orlando Magic would love to start to build around Shumpert, and they have the pieces in place to send back to the Big Apple to make the Knicks more competitive.

At 5.8 points and 3.8 rebounds per game, Shumpert’s numbers are suspect, but we certainly would make our NBA picks on him at least being dangled for trade bait before the trade deadline, especially now that he is back in the Knicks’ starting lineup for Head Coach Mike Woodson.
