A frustrating campaign for Marcus Camby in his return to the New York Knicks took another hit when an MRI on his left foot revealed plantar fasciitis, which will keep him out of action for at least the next two to four weeks. Camby, who was brought in by the Knicks for a second tour to add much-needed size along its frontline, has been limited to just 14 games this season because of the injury.

The Knicks have been one of the big storylines in the NBA this season. Despite a veteran roster that some felt was too old to contend entering the season, the Knicks are just a half-game behind the Miami Heat for the top seed in the Eastern Conference. According to local reports, consider for your NBA picks that the Knicks are targeting another veteran big man to help offset the Camby loss–Kenyon Martin.

Martin has remained unsigned this season after playing 41 games and averaging 5.2 points and 4.3 rebounds a game for the Los Angeles Clippers in 2011-12.
