Here’s an inside look at the week ahead for the Brooklyn Nets.
As you consider your latest NBA picks, note the Nets have rebounded from a tough start to the season that resulted in the firing of coach Avery Johnson by winning three straight games and five of their last six, which includes a sharp 113-93 win over the Sacramento Kings as a 7-point home favorite Saturday.
Brooklyn (19-15) returns to action Wednesday night as a 1 ½-point road underdog against the Philadelphia 76ers (15-20). In these teams last meeting two weeks ago, the Nets beat the 76ers 95-92, but failed to cover as a 6-point home favorite.
Brooklyn plays two other games this week. They host the struggling Phoenix Suns (12-23) on Friday night and continue the homestand Sunday with a tilt against the Indiana Pacers (20-14).
It appears Brooklyn has gotten past the early-season struggles under and could be poised to make a run up the standings with a new head coach.
