The New York Knicks are 23-10 and are sitting atop the Atlantic Division as we head towards the halfway point of the season. They wouldn’t be anywhere though, if they didn’t have F Carmelo Anthony, who has to be a favorite on the NBA odds to win the MVP Award this year.

Melo has been sparkling and might be having the best year of his career. He is averaging 29.3 points per game, second in the league to only G Kobe Bryant of the Los Angeles Lakers. Anthony has missed eight games this year injured, and in those games, the Knicks are just 4-4 SU and 2-5-1 ATS.

With three 40+ point games already this season, the third of which came on Saturday against the Orlando Magic, there is no doubt that Anthony is well on his way to more great things in the Big Apple, and if he keeps playing like this, the MVP honor might not be that far behind.
