Have no fear Yankees fans. Not every team is perfect. We’ll come right back and take care of the Mariners this week and you shouldn’t have any qualms about taking them with your free MLB picks.

Every dog has their day. We don’t know if New York just felt bad in general for Oakland or wasn’t really trying, but whatever the case may be we did lose four straight to the Athletics. All four games were decided by one run so it’s not like our boys were completely outmatched.

Either way, the Yankees will certainly bounce back against the hapless Mariners. How old is Ichrio these days? Is he 50 yet?

To start the series off we’ve got Hiroki Kuroda going against Kevin Millwood, who probably should have retired about five seasons ago. Kuroda just made Toronto his bitches five days ago and we hope he can carry that over in this first game.

Game two will be the trickiest as we have Freddy Garcia on the mound, while the Mariners trot out their only good player on the whole roster in Felix Hernandez.

We can take some consolation in knowing Garcia has been a better road pitcher this season (4.38 ERA compared to 6.75 at Yankee Stadium), but King Felix is no joke. At least some of our boys have had good luck against him in the past, with Robinson Cano batting .412 and Mark Teixeira at .339 with five homers and nine RBI.

And finally, to wrap the series up we’ve got Ivan Nova against Hisashi Iwakuma. Nova’s been straight dirty on the road, going 7-1 with a 3.30 ERA.

The Yanks have never seen Iwakuma before but the ugly man from Japan is in for a rude awakening. We’re not going to be happy in the slightest about getting swept and the Mariners are going to be our punching bag.
