Who counted out the Bronx Bombers? Winners of nine consecutive games, the Yankees should be in everyone’s MLB picks.  There’s nothing quiet about the city of New York and now our baseball team is fulfilling its unbeatable potential. Nine straight games? You better believe it.

We swept the Mets, Braves and those overrated Nationals and still aren’t getting the love. What can I say? People love to hate greatness.  The Yankees get another crack at embarrassing the Braves this week, only this time we get them in our house. No team’s going to come into Yankee Stadium and escape with anything, not with the way we’re managing to win ballgames in every possible way.

Especially when that team trots out Mike Minor to face us. Mike Minor! C.C. Sabathia, who’s 8-3 with a 3.70 ERA, is going to make that kid look like a fool in this series opener. Sabathia has won decisions in three of his last four starts and was the winning pitcher in New York’s 6-4 win over the Braves last week. He knows he can pitch circles around these guys and will prove it again.

Now, the second and third games of the series may be a little bit more tricky, but I’m still confident those Atlanta tools won’t be able to stop us. The Braves send out Tim Hudson on Tuesday and he’s pretty solid, but Hiroki Kuroda is pitching lights out for the Yankees right now. Kuroda’s also won three of his last four decisions and has given up only four total runs in those starts. Talk about domination.

To finish the series off, we’re going to give the Braves a chance by having Phil Hughes on the mound. Hughes has actually been performing pretty well here lately, but he’s a ticking timebomb. Hell, I still think he’s going to pitch us to a victory over Atlanta. We’re that damn good.
