Despite having another 1-2 week, I cashed in big time last Saturday night. I made my first trip to Las Vegas and nailed a parlay on the LSU-Alabama game. Taking LSU +5 and the under of 41.5 points seemed gutsy, but it paid off nicely. This week, I have three more NFL picks. This week’s picks center around these three games:

  • Arizona at Philadelphia
  • New England at New York Jets
  • Minnesota at Green Bay

**Warning: I’m not messing around this week**

Game #1: Arizona Cardinals at Philadelphia Eagles (-13.5)

The Eagles are out for blood. After losing a close one at home to the Bears, the Eagles post an embarrassing 1-3 home record. Michael Vick, who has surprisingly played every game, failed to score a touchdown against the Bears. That will change against Arizona.

Ex-Eagle Kevin Kolb will not play with a foot injury. Instead, the Cardinals will rely on John Skelton to lead the charge. Skelton is not a good player at all and does not have any type of pocket awareness. Given Skelton’s shortcoming, the Cardinals do have corner and superb special teams player, Patrick Peterson. The Eagles will need to contain him on special teams.

The Eagles are 3-5 and have a huge match-up against the Giants next week. This is a must-win game and I expect the entire Philly offense to play at a high level.

The Pick: Philadelphia (-13.5)

Game #2: New England at New York Jets

I wrote the preview here.

The Pick: New York Jets (PK)

Game #3: Minnesota Vikings at Green Bay Packers (-13)

The Green and Yellow is 8-0 and their fearless leader looks completely unstoppable. Aaron Rodgers has registered 26 total touchdowns so far and only comitted four turnovers. His completion percentage is a mind boggling 72 percent. Rodgers’s Packer team has only played three home games, but has posted an impressive 18-point margin of victory per game.

The Minnesota Vikings have Adrian Peterson and Jared Allen, but that’s about it. Peterson ran for 175 yards in the team’s earlier meeting and Allen had two sacks, but it still wasn’t enough. Funky things have been happening on Monday nights this year, but I don’t think anything weird happens at Lambo this week.

Business as usual in Mr. Rodgers neighboorhood.

The Pick: Green Bay (-13)

Last Week: 1-2
Overall: 12-9
