Bartolo Colon had his worst Yankee performance tonight as he gave way to eight runs (three earned) in 2/3 of an inning. Eduardo Nunez’s throwing error led to five Toronto runs. Despite the lopsided score, the Jays only out-hit the Yanks by six (20 to 14). The Yanks did get the game within two (9-7) in the sixth inning. The Yankees scored seven earned runs off of Toronto starter, Jo-Jo Reyes. Andruw Jones smacked two homers in the loss and Robinson Cano and Brett The Jet had three hits. The entire Yankee bullpen was atrocious. Meat-Tray gave up four runs, Noesi gave up two. Jose Bautista left with an injury that the Jays just can’t afford.

Just Didn't Have It Tonight

Overall, this was a write off game for the Yankees. Freddy Garcia takes the ball tomorrow night to right the ship.

Friday, 7:10 PM: Freddy Garcia (7-6, 3.13 ERA) vs. Brandon Morrow (5-4, 4.06 ERA)
