Long story short, the Yankees scored a bunch of runs tonight. The first seven came off of 2009 AL Cy Young Award winner Zack Greinke (more on that below) and the final four came off of the Brewer bullpen.

The big hitters tonight were Nick Swisher and Mark Teixeira, who each had a home run and four RBIs. Nick’s home run continues a ridiculously hot June in which he has hit seven home runs and raised his batting average thirty points. Mark’s home run was his 24th on the season, which is good for the Major League lead.

Instead of doing “Key Stats” Tonight, Let’s Recap Zack Greinke’s Awful Night with Numbers

11.29: Greinke has a career 11.29 ERA in the Bronx, by far his highest of any team. This and the numbers below will not make you want him in pinstripes in the future.

62.5%: Zack Greinke allowed 62.5% (10-16) of the batters he faced tonight to reach base, whether it via a hit, walk, or hit by pitch.

43.75%: Zack Greinke allowed 43.75% (7-16) of the batters he faced tonight to cross home plate. That number is just insane.

1: This was the first, and probably will be the only, start in Zack Greinke’s career in which he did not strike out a batter.

What’s Next?
