The Yankees went into tonight’s game playing with house money. They had the series already won with their Triple A special taking the mound against the Reds’ ace, Jonny Cueto. Starter Brian Gordon gave up three homers (four total runs) over five innings. The Reds blew the game open late when they scored six earned off of Hector Noesi. This Chris Hainsey character mashed three home runs. I literally know nothing about him, but hitting three bombs in one game is pretty cool. Nick Swisher kept up his hot hitting ways, blasting a second inning solo home run (his eighth). A-Rod played this game and stroked a double in the eighth inning. Good to see him back in there.

Overall, the Yanks went 4-2 on their NL Central road trip, which they have to be happy with. The Yanks will have Thursday off as they head home with a 43-30 record, (1 game behind Boston). They will start a three-game set with the Rockies on Friday night.
