On this dreary Wednesday evening in New York, let’s take a look at some random shots with New York’s sports teams.

  • Yesterday, the Yankees put reliever, Luis Ayala on the disabled list. To make matters worse, lefty reliever Pedro Feliciano suffered another set back with his strained rotator cuff. The Yankees called up Hector Noesi from Triple A Scranton. Noesi, 24, will serve as the 25th man on the roster and will take over long relief and emergency pitching situation duty. This will be Noesi’s first trip to the Bronx.
  • The injury bug has bit the Mets as well. After a stellar first start, Chris Young was pushed back to this weekend from Friday’s schedule start due to bicep tendinitis. After his one-hitter through seven innings on Sunday, the Mets can’t afford to lose Young.
  • The eighth seeded New York Rangers will take the ice tonight at 7:30 PM in Washington. The Rangers needed a late push to make the playoffs, winning seven of their last ten games. Skeptics are a little worried about goalie, Hendrik Lundqvist (15-17 in the playoffs), but a lot of the loses were due to a poor defense. However, Lundqvist’s eleven shutouts were the most of his career. Lundqvist has only allowed four goals in three games this season against the Capitals.
  • There, I wrote about some hockey.
