Our Mets lost again today. I doubt anyone was watching, it’s a football Sunday. In case you didn’t watch and actually wanted to know what happened… well here ya go. The Mets took an early lead, only to see the Braves tie it up, and blow it open with a big inning that included a grand slam. The Mets are the only team in baseball without a grand slam this year.

The Mets have apparently employed the homeless to eat some innings. That beard is worse than Braylon’s.

The Scoop:

The Mets started the game off on a good note. A David Wright home run gave the Mets a 1st inning 2-0 lead that held until the Braves tied it in the 6th inning. R.A. Dickey pitched good for most of the game, until the 6th inning came along. Those damn big innings.

The Good:

-David’s blast gave him 24 for the season, and 94 RBIs on the season. 6 RBIs in the last 12 games to give him 100 on the year?

The Bad:

1,2: Jose and Angel combined to go 0-8 today. Tough to win when your 1 and 2 guys don’t get on base.

The Ugly:

Manny Acosta’s beard.

What’s Next?

Only 12 games left. The next two will be in Florida, sandwiched between off days on Monday and Thursday. Pelf gets the start.
