After taking two of three games in Chicago, the Yankees will kick off a ten-game home stand starting tonight against the A’s. The A’s (65-64) are in third place in the AL West as they turn their attention to 2011. The A’s boast a rotation full of promising young talent, headlined by Wednesday’s starter, lefty Brett Anderson. Friend of the blog, Dallas Braden, will get his chance at ‘redemption’ on Thursday afternoon!

Lance Berkman is expected to rejoin the team on Wednesday while Alex Rodriguez is scheduled to come off the DL next Sunday.

Hi, CC

Keys To The Series

#1 Get To A’s Pitching: As a staff, the A’s have the lowest ERA in the American League (3.49). Getting to their young arms early is the key to the series.

#2 Get Teix Back: Even though Mark Teixeira is dealing with a bruised thumb injury, the Yanks need his stick and glove back in the lineup. The Yankee lineup is definitely missing some juice without him in there.
