Match-Up: San Francisco Giants (Cain) at Arizona Diamondbacks (Lopez)

The Giants and Diamondbacks will kick off their four-game weekend set tonight in Arizona. After taking the series from the Mets, the D’Backs will look to continue their perfect record at home against San Francisco. The D’Backs will send out Rodrigo Lopez (5-8, 4.62 ERA). Lopez has really struggled for Arizona this season. He is 3-4 at home with a 4.95 ERA. He lost a game earlier this season to the Giants, giving up six earned runs in five innings. In his career, Lopez is 0-1 with a 8.40 ERA.

The Giants will send out the somewhat struggling, Matt Cain (7-8, 3.30 ERA). Cain has lost four of his last five decisions and has given up 26 runs in 32 innings. Cain has pitched very well against the Diamondbacks, posting a 3.39 ERA in 15 career starts. This season, Cain tossed a complete game one-hitter against Arizona.

The Giants have yet to win in Arizona this season. However, Matt Cain absolutely dominated the D’Backs the last time out. With Lopez struggling, look for the Giants to jump on the D’Backs early and often.

The Pick: SF Giants
