Yesterday, the New York Jets and left tackle, D’Brickashaw Ferguson agreed in principle to a six-year, $60 million dollar extension. Of that $60 million, $34 million will come as guaranteed money, the most ever for a tackle. Ferguson had two years remaining on his initial $37.5 million dollar contract.

Ferguson contract marks completion as the first of the ‘Big Four’. All-World corner Darrelle Revis, All-Pro center, Nick Mangold, and tackling machine, David Harris are all seeking extensions. Let’s hope Ferguson’s deal gets the ball rolling for the other three.
