Match-Up: Argentina (Win) vs. Mexico (Win or Draw)

AP

Another 2006 rematch will unfold on Sunday afternoon as Argentina will square off against Mexico. In 2006, Argentina defeated Mexico, 2-1 in the knockout stage of the tournament. They will look to continue that trend today.

All time, Argentina has a 11-4-10 record against Mexico. Alike past years, Argentina boasts an extremely impressive attacking unit. Even though Lionel Messi has yet to score, team mate Gonzalo Higuain has notched three goals while Argentina has out-scored opponents, 7-1.

Mexico finished second in their grouping after losing 1-0 to Uruguay last Tuesday.

Expect another physical contest this afternoon. There is history between these two clubs, but I think overall talent of Argentina will be too much for the Mexicans.

The Pick: Argentina Win

June Record: 12-14
