Yesterday, we profiled the top AL All-Star vote receivers. Today, we’ll take a look at the National League. Upon first glance, this lineup is not as daunting as the AL’s….

Cardinals first baseman, Albert Pujols (2.093 M), has over taken Phillies second baseman, Chase Utley (1.99 M) for the overall lead in the National League. Rounding out the infield is Marlins shortstop, Hanley Ramirez (1.19 M), Phillies third baseman, Placido Polanco (933 K), and Cardinals catcher, Yadier Molina (1.047 M). Ramirez, Polanco, and Molina only have slim 200,000 vote leaders over Phillies shortstop, Jimmy Rollins, third baseman David Wright, and Braves catcher, Brian McCann.

In the outfield, new blood has risen to the top of the standings. Brewers left fielder, Ryan Braun (1.422 M) has a slim 2,000 vote lead over Braves rookie right fielder, Jason Heyward (1.419 M) for the overall lead. Dodger Andre Ethier (1.34 M) is currently in third. Phillies outfielders Jayson Werth (1.12 M) and Shane Victorino (1.029 M) are not far off the pace.

My Projected Line-Up:
1. Andre Ethier, CF

2. Hanley Ramirez, SS

3. Chase Utley, 2B

4. Albert Pujols, 1B

5. Ryan Braun, LF

6. Ryan Howard, DH

7. Jason Heyward, RF

8. Yadier Molina, C

9. Placido Polanco, 3B

To me, this lineup looks a little weak. Since the game will be played in Anaheim, the National League will be able to use a DH. Since Charlie Manuel is managing the National League All-Stars this year, he may opt to use Ryan Howard. Either way, I think the AL will win the game. The NL’s pitching will be strong, but not enough bats!

Met fans–It’s embarrassing that you haven’t voted one of your players into the game. Yahoo! ranks David Wright as the 20th best player this season (.286, 12 HRs, 47 RBIs). Why aren’t you voting for him? Placido freaking Polanco is beating David Wright?

The New York Met fan is one of the most passionate, act like it and get this guy into the game.
