Needless to say, the last week of baseball has been exciting. We’ve had a near perfect game. An onslaught of home runs. The Yankees keep winning and the Mets have continued their dominance at home. Which players have given their fantasy owners the most love though?

Who’s Hot?

#1 Jeff Francouer, OF, Mets: On May 26th, Francouer was hitting a dismal, .216. After his recent hot streak, Francouer is at .258. He’s done a ton of damage over the last week. Francouer is 12 for 21 in the last week. He has only two extra base hits, but has gotten on base 64% of the time. Francouer will be worth a fantasy add if he keeps up this hot hitting.

#2 Troy Glaus, 3B, Braves: The first place Braves owe a lot of their success to the Wiley veteran. Glaus is hitting .278 on the season with 10 HRs and 42 RBIs. Over the last week, Glaus has hit four home runs and driven in 13 runs. The Braves had their ten-game winning streak snapped, but Glaus revival is a positive sign for Brave fans and fantasy owners alike.

#3 Roy Halladay, SP, Phillies: He really needs no introduction. Halladay threw a perfect game last weekend. He followed that up with a seven inning, two-run performance against San Diego. The guy is the best in the game.

Who’s Not?

#1 Matt Capps, RP, Nationals: Capps leads baseball with 18 saves, but hasn’t had a good week. Capps blew two saves against the Astros. Here’s the odd thing: His ERA was 0.00. Bad defense from Christian Guzman was the catalyst in both blown saves. Pitchers have to trust their defense in order to be successful. Stay with Capps and hope for some better defense in the nation’s capital.

#2 Jason Heyward OF, Braves: The ‘J-Hey’ kid has been taking baseball by storm, so it’s not usual that he has a bad week. Over the past week, Heyward is hitting .172 with a homer and three RBIs. Heyward’s eight strikeouts in 29 at-bats are a little alarming, but hey, he’s a rook. Stay with him

#3 Shin Soo Choo, OF, Indians: Any Yankee fan knows that Choo went 0 for 14 over the three games he played last weekend. Choo has carried over his poor play into this past week. He is 4 for his last 27 with only one home run. Choo has been one of the better fantasy outfielders, so roll with him

Good luck in Week 10!
