Match-Up: Josh Johnson Over/Under 7 K’s at home vs. Brewers

Most baseball fans are familiar with Marlins’ ace, Josh Johnson. Johnson has absolutely electric stuff. Johnson has struck out 69 hitters in 70 innings. More impressive, he’s been great at home this season. Johnson is 4-1 at home with a 1.53 ERA with 59 strikeouts in 47 innings.

Johnson is 2-0 in four career starts against the Brewers. He has struck out 24 hitters over 25 innings.

On Thursday, he’ll face the Brewers, who are 10th in the league in total team strikeouts. Milwaukee has struck out 381 times in 52 games or 7.32 times per game. This high strikeout total suggests they are prone to striking out more frequently than the average team.

Given the trends, I’m picking seven strikeouts or more for Johnson. The guy has been great at home and the Brewers are having a terrible season so far.

The Pick: Seven or more

June Record: 1-1
