Baseball released the top vote getters for the National League today. Outside of third base, there really aren’t any surprises (Start hustling, Hanley!) Chase Utley is leading the voting for the 2nd time in three seasons. Currently, no Mets are slotted to start the game, but five Phillies are. Maybe six if the votes holds up and if Roy Halladay starts the game.

C- Yadier Molina, STL- 317,000
1B- Albert Pujols, STL- 647,000
2B- Chase Utley, PHI- 687,000
3B- Placido Polanco, PHI- 309,000 (David Wright, 2nd, 236,000)
SS- Jimmy Rollins, PHI- 340,000 (Jose Reyes, 5th, 137,000)
OF- Ryan Braun, MIL- 423,000
OF- Jayson Werth, PHI- 365,000
OF- Shane Victorino, PHI- 348,000 (Jason Bay, 10th, 191,000)

Get out and vote Met fans. David Wright is trailing Placido Polanco? Even if Wright is playing horribly, vote the guy in. He’s arguably the NL’s best third baseman when he’s playing well and he has a great fan base behind him.

Even with his struggles, Yankee fans are giving Mark Teixeira votes.
