Match-Up: San Jose Sharks (0-3) at Chicago Blackhawks (3-0)

Dustin Byfuglien’s overtime goal put the Chicago Blackhawks within one win of heading to the Stanley Cup Finals.  But his game-winning shot wasn’t the story of the game. Chicago goalie, Antti Niemi was great in goal, stopping 44 of 46 shots, including three lasers off the stick of Patrick Marleau. Marleau did score San Jose’s only two goals of Game 3, but the rest of his team did not help him out. The Sharks lost the face-off battle, 32-43 and yielded 15 Chicago take-aways.

I noted earlier this week that the Sharks are notorious for late-season collapses. I haven’t seen any emotion from this team. I don’t expect the Blackhawks to join the Sharks on a flight back to California on Sunday night.

The Pick: Chicago Blackhawks

May Record: 9-13
