Match-Up: Philadelphia Flyers (2-1) at Montreal Canadiens (1-2)

Desperate times call for desperate measures. That means its time for another hockey selection. The Flyers currently have a 2-1 series lead over the Canadiens, but the Canadiens have the momentum heading into Game 4. The Montreal Canadiens knocked around the Philadelphia Flyers, 5-1 on Thursday night. Left winger, Mike Cammallieri scored the first goal for Canadiens and they never looked back. The Habs added two more goals in the next two periods and carried a 3-0 lead into the 3rd period. The Flyers were able to respond with a late Simon Gagne goal, but it was too little, too late.

Scoring five times on Flyer goalie, Michael Leighton definitely gives Montreal a confidence boost. The Canadiens were shut out in the first two games. Much of their success can be attributed to rowdy Montreal crowd. The Canadiens are 4-3 at home this post-season. Given the quality of their opponents, Washington and Pittsburgh, this is an impressive stat. Having goalie, Jaroslav Halak(2.55 GAA) in their net isn’t so bad either.

I’m going with the Canadiens at home. It isn’t very American of me, but what can you do?

The Pick: Montreal Canadiens

May Record: 8-13
