Update Today: The Yankees have called up pitcher, Ivan Nova from Scranton. With Sergio Mitre expected to be limited to roughly 70 pitches, we may see Nova tonight.

Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Yankees: The Triple-A club began the week by splitting the final two games of the Norfolk series before splitting a four game series at Durham. Ivan Nova and Zach McAllister highlighted the week. Nova picked up his second win of the season going seven innings, giving up one earned run on nine hits and striking out four. McAllister also went seven innings giving up two earned runs on seven hits, striking out six. The Yankees are on a home-stand this week when Columbus and Charlotte come into town for back-to-back four game series.

  • Montero Monitor: Jesus Montero began showing signs of the player he could be this week. He went 4-11 with two doubles and two RBI. Montero is currently hitting .244 with two home runs, 11 RBI, eight walks, 16 strikeouts, and an OBP of .306.
  • McAllister Monitor: McAllister’s seven innings this week was good enough to get him his first win of the season. This season, McAllister is 1-2 with a 4.97 ERA and 30 strikeouts.

Trenton Thunder: The Thunder split a four-game set at Akron and followed with a three-game sweep at home versus Bowie. Wilkins Arias came into the game relief twice and picked up two wins for Trenton. Austin Romine continued to impress going 5-19 with two home runs, five RBI, two walks and three strikeouts. The Thunder begin a series at New Britain before hosting Binghamton.

  • Romine Radar: Romine is hitting .322 with three home runs, 18 RBI, 10 walks, 20 strikeouts and an OBP of .396 on the 2010 season.

Tampa Yankees: The Yankees swept Dunedin before heading to Brevard County and losing two out of three. Corban Joseph highlighted the Tampa offense going 11-26 with two doubles, six RBI, four walks and four strikeouts. The Yankees host Fort Myers for a four-game series before playing a home-and-home against Lakeland.
