The Orlando Magic embarassed the Atlanta Hawks in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Semi-Finals, winning 114-71. This marked the fourth time in five meetings that the Magic have defeated the Hawks by 15+ points.

Some will argue that the Hawks were playing with tired legs on Tuesday night, only two days removed from their Game 7 win over the Milwaukee Bucks. However, the tales of the tape paints pure Orlando domination over Atlanta. The Magic out-rebounded the Hawks, 53-35. The Magic are one of the better perimeter defense teams, holding the Hawks to 15% from three-point land. The Magic shot 53% from the field while the Hawks only shot 35%. Magic center, Dwight Howard had his way, scoring 21 points on 8 of 10 shooting while grabbing 12 rebounds.

Outside of Marvin Williams and Joe Johnson, no player played more than 30 minutes in this game. Expect both teams to be at full-strength.

The Magic opened as ten-point favorites. The Magic are 4-1 against the Hawks this year and have covered the ten-point spread in all of those victories. The Magic create match-up problems all of the floor for the Hawks. Expect another romp. Magic by 15.

The Pick: Orlando Magic -9.5

May Record: 3-2
