These two teams will kick off their second round series on Monday night in Phoenix. Both teams won their first round series on the road in six games. Guard Jason Richardson has led the way for the Suns, averaging 23.5 points per game. Forward Amare Stoudemire is also playing at a high level, averaging 20.5 points and roughly two blocks per contest.

The Spurs knocked off the heavily favored Mavericks in the first round. The Spurs Big 3 (Parker, Ginobili, and Duncan) each averaged at least 15 points per game in the first round with each player shooting 42% or better from the field. Guard George Hill has emerged, averaging 14.3 points per game against the Mavericks.

The Suns have two of the three match-ups against the Spurs this season. The more athletic Suns will look to run the floor and tire the elder Spurs out. The Suns opened as four-point favorites.
