This is the first round’s sole Game 7 match-up. The gritty Hawks were able to stay alive with a convincing Game 6 83-69 win in Milwaukee. Sixth man of the year, Jamal Crawford led the way for the Hawks with 21 points. Forward Al Horford proved once again be a force inside scoring 15 points and grabbing 15 boards.

I noted earlier in the week that three-point shooting was the key in this series. The Bucks really struggled to score points in Game 6, only shooting 27% from three-point range. Atlanta shot 32% from behind the arc and also won the battle on the boards, 51-42.

Atlanta has been one of the NBA’s better home teams, posting a 36-8 record on the season. Free agent to be Joe Johnson does not want to leave Atlanta yet. The Hawks are a heavy 9.5 point favorite. I’ll give the Bucks the points and watch the Hawks cruise into Orlando to face the Magic.

The Pick: Atlanta Hawks

May Record: 1-0
