The Boston Celtics will be going for the sweep against the Miami Heat on Sunday afternoon. The Celtics won Game 3 of this first round series in dramatic fashion. Forward Paul Pierce hit a game-winning jump shot at the buzzer to give the Celtics a 3-0 series advantage.

Pierce, Ray Allen, Kevin Garnett, and Rajon Rondo combined to score 90 of the team’s 100 points in Game 3. Once again, the Celtics out-rebounded the Heat, 38 to 34. Heat guard Dwyane Wade scored 34 points in the loss, but left the game late in the fourth quarter with leg cramps. He is expected to be fine for Sunday’s tilt.

The Celtics are 6-0 against the Heat this season and have won 14 of their last 15 contests against Miami. I think the Pierce game-winning shot sunk the Heat. Wade has not received any help during this series. The Celtics will sweep the Heat and await the Cleveland Cavaliers and LeBron James.

The Pick: Boston Celtics

April Record: 15-9
