Match-Up: Boston Celtics(2-0) at Miami Heat(0-2)

The Boston Celtics have a commanding two games to none lead in the first round of the NBA Playoffs. The Celtics have dominated the Heat in the first two games of this series. The Celtics won a hard-fought, tenious Game 1, 85-76. Star forward, Kevin Garnett was suspended for Game 2 of this series after throwing an elbow at Heat guard, Quetin Richardson during Game 1. Garnett will be in the starting lineup for Game 3.

The Celtics didn’t even need Garnett is Game 2 as they dismantled the Heat, 106-77. Even without Garnett in the line-up, the Celtics owned the boards, out-rebounding the Heat 50-33.  The Celtics have also shot 35% from three-point range.

Heat guard, Dwyane Wade has averaged 27.5 points during this series, but hasn’t had any support. Power forward, Jermaine O’Neal has been nursing a sprained ankle and has only played a limited number of minutes. The Heat have turned the ball over 32 times so far this series.

I like the Celtics to take Game 3. The Heat haven’t had any life and are at a huge disadvantage inside. The Celtics are a perfect 5-0 against the Heat this season. Expect the Celtics to be even more motivated with the Big Ticket(Kevin Garnett) back in the lineup for Game 3.

The Pick: Boston Celtics

April Record: 13-9
