With the removal of Mike Jacobs from the 40-man roster, he has been replaced by pitcher Tobi Stoner. This could mean the beginning of the Ike Davis era for the Mets. With Daniel Murphy not ready to play as he’s recovering from injury, and Tatis not a true 1st basemen, the Mets may opt to bring up their prized prospect.

Tobi Stoner was most likely recalled because of last night’s 20 inning game, but his stay will probably be short. Frank Catalanotto will start at 1st tonight in St. Louis. Stay tuned for what the Mets decide to do with their newest hole to fill.

The 2nd Mike Jacobs stint ends after 10 games, in which he hit .208 with 1 HR and 2 RBIs.

Should the Mets bring up Ike Davis, or go in another direction?
