Friday, 7:05 PM: CJ Wilson (0-0; 0.00 ERA) vs. CC Sabathia (1-0; 3.46 ERA)

Saturday, 1:05PM: Scott Feldman (1-0; 2.57 ERA) vs. AJ Burnett (1-0; 3.57 ERA)

Sunday, 1:05PM: Rich Harden (0-0; 2.79 ERA) vs. Andy Pettitte (1-0; 0.75 ERA)

If you like strike outs, this series is for you. I’m sure all of you know about the gaudy strike out totals that Sabathia and Burnett post, but CJ Wilson and Rich Harden have electric stuff. Wilson made his first start since 2005 on April 8th, striking out nine hitters over seven innings. Wilson pitched in the bullpen from 2006-2009 and struck out 84 hitters over 73 innings last season. He is apparently a little under the weather, so check back before game time to see if he’s a go. When healthy, Rich Harden is one of the better pitchers in the AL. He has begin to re-display his talent this season. He has struck out ten hitters over nine innings while only yielding six hits.

Rangers outfielder Nelson Cruz leads the league in home runs (6) thus far, so keep your eye on him.

Robinson Cano has gotten off to a hot start this season, clobbering four home runs while hitting at a .395 clip. He is tied for 3rd in total bases among American League players.

The Yankees defeated the Rangers five to four in their 2009 season series. The teams did split their six meetings in the Bronx. Enjoy the weekend baseball.
