(Phil after winning 2006 Masters)

Playing in the final pairing alongside Lee Westwood, Phil Mickelson played outstanding all day as he was able to capture his 3rd green jacket. This was his first major championship since his Masters victory in 2006. Phil shot a -5 67 to finish -16. Lee Westwood fell short yet again at a major championship, finishing 3 shots back for a 2nd place finish. Anthony Kim fired a 65 making a charge late to finish 3rd at -12.

Tiger Woods was erratic all day, shooting a -3 69 to finish -11. It started on hole #1 when he yanked his drive so far left it landed in the 9th hole fairway. He rebounded as he holed out for eagle on the 7th hole. The story of the day was Phil though. Lefty made every big shot he needed to and Westwood just couldn’t keep up. This is Westwoods 3rd consecutive top 3 finish in a major, so you’d have to think his day will come soon.

Congratulations Phil. You and your family deserve this!
