Baseball is back in full force. So are my Streak for the Cash Picks.

Match-Up: 7:05 PM San Francisco Giants(1-0); Zito at Houston Astros(0-1); W. Rodriguez

Giants ace Tim Lincecum stymied the Astro offense for seven innings yesterday. However, the Astro line-up will have easier task on Tuesday, facing lefty Barry Zito. Zito went 10-13 with a 4.03 ERA last season, including an 8-9 record on the road. Zito did not face the Astros last season, but went 0-2 against them in 2008, allowing nine runs in eleven innings.

Wandy Rodriguez has been great at home throughout his career. He has posted a 31-21 record with a 3.61 ERA at Minute Maid Park. Last season, he posted a 9-3 record at home with a 2.08 ERA and a 4.13 K/BB ratio. He has not faced the Giants since 2006, so we can pretty much throw history out the window.

I’m going with the Astros. After being shut down by Tim Lincecum, the Astros will be ready to break out against San Fran’s shaky lefty. Given his track record, Wandy Rodriguez should give them a solid effort.
