He has been booed, ridiculed, and probably threatened by some of the Yankee faithful this year. Sour images of Game 7 from the 2004 ALCS still sit dance in the heads of Yankee fans. Javier Vazquez (1-3; 9.00 ERA) needs to have a good start tomorrow against one his former teams, the Chicago White Sox, in order to win back the majority of the fan base. However, I view Vazquez’s start to the season in a different light…Here are four reasons why I’m not worried about Javier Vazquez.

In the final weeks of the regular season the Rangers were in a four-team race for the final three playoff spots, fighting the Bruins, Flyers, and Canadiens. We all know how it ended. Now that the first round of the playoffs is in the books, very few people believed before the playoffs began that the Bruins (6th seed), Flyers (7th), and Canadiens (8th) would have won their first round match-up. Would the Rangers have advanced to the second round if they qualified for a playoff seed, as the three teams they fought for a playoff spot have?

They will return to the stadium for six-game home stand against the Chicago White Sox and Baltimore Orioles. Robinson Cano has been baseball’s hottest hitter (.407, 8 HRs).
